The mats are made of an electrically operated heating element sandwiched between two protective surfaces of non-slip rubber, making them as durable as automobile tires and allowing them to endure harsh wear. The heated walkway mats plug into any standard 240V outlet generating heat to melt snow at a rate of 2” per hour. The mats can be secured to the ground using their built-in grommet holes and are designed to be left outside for the entire winter season. The heated walkway mats come with their own inline ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI).  The heated walkway mat has been designed to be left in place all winter long, and will endure harsh wear and high traffic.
